Lavandin Oil is known for its ability to overcome anxiety, stress, emotional exhaustion & depression; it has properties that will treat skin problems and reduce scarring; it can calm abdominal cramps, colic and gas; it relieves painful headaches/migraines; treats respiratory spasms, asthma, laryngitis & it can even assist with healthy menstruation & reduce menstrual pain.

Let's start with some basic information; a brief description of where the oil comes from, what it contains and how it is obtained. The following information is provided by Bill Fifield in his book "Integrated Guide to Essential Oils & Aromatherapy".
This is a book that I highly recommend by the way.
Family: Lamiaceae (Labiatae)
Origins: Grows in the mountainous regions of southern France where parent plants grow wild. Now grown in Spain, Hungary, Yugoslavia, and Argentina.
Other Names: Bastard lavender
Description: A hybrid plant created by crossing true lavender (Lavendula angustifolia) with spike lavender (Lavendula latifolia). It is larger than true lavender with flowers that may be blue or grey.
Extraction: Essential oil by steam distillation
Botanical Part Used: Fresh flowering tops. It has a higher yield than true lavender.
Principal Constituents: Linalyl acetate (30-32%), linalool, cineol, camphene, pinene and other constituents.

Lavandin Oil has the ability to overcome anxiety, restlessness, emotional exhaustion and depression.
You can apply Lavandin directly on your forehead, around your nose, on your temples and to your solar plexus.
Diffuse 20 drops of lavandin twice daily.

Lavandin Essential Oil has a fresh, sweet, floral scent that is quite stimulating. Together with its antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, it makes for a great natural deodorant.
Add 10 drops to a 1/2 cup of Epsom salts and use it in a foot bath or massage your feet with a 50:50 blend of Lavandin and carrier oil.
It can also be added to some water and applied on surfaces or diffused in order to deodorize a room.

Lavandin Oil can be used to calm abdominal cramps, colic, gas, or nausea. Consume a 50:50 blend of Lavandin with a carrier oil in a gelatin capsule once a day with food.

For topical application mix Lavandin with a carrier oil at a 50:50 concentration and apply to your temples, forehead and the back of your neck.

If you suffer from painful headaches, migraines or nervous tension try diffusing 20 drops of Lavandin Oil twice daily.
Create a 50:50 blend of Lavandin and carrier oil and apply it to your face, your forehead and the back of your neck.

Lavandin Oil is a vulnerary (a medicine used in the healing of wounds) and has antiseptic properties.
Apply it undiluted to minor wounds in order to reduce bacterial, fungal as well as viral infections.

To repel insects mix 20 drops of Lavandin Oil in a cup of water and spray the area.

It can be applied undiluted to small areas of concern but for larger applications such as in the case of muscle aches and pains, lumbago, rheumatism, and sprains, a massage of 50:50 Lavandin and carrier oil will work best.
Lavandin Oil can stimulate healthy menstruation as well as ease menstrual pain.
Massage your lower abdomen using Lavandin mixed with a carrier oil at a 50:50 ratio.

Lavandin Oil has the ability to calm spasms of the respiratory system and is effective against conditions such as:
Diffuse 20 drops twice daily
Massage the area of concern with a 50:50 blend using lavandin and carrier oil
Take an aromatic bath or foot soak with 10 to 15 drops of lavandin in a cup of Epsom salts.
