The fungus called Candida is found naturally in your body and helps with your digestion and nutrient absorption.
So far, so good!
Sometimes, however, it overgrows causing many health problems such as:
C. albicans is often resistant to both fluconazole and itraconazole, which are the antifungal drugs most often prescribed for candida.
There are many pharmaceutical remedies available for candida cleanse but aside from potential side effects, there is another reason to use natural products such as essential oils.
Have you heard of the concern in the medical community about drug resistant bugs becoming immune to the effects of antibiotics?
In this same way, your body may also build up a resistance to the chemical ingredients contained in the drugs you purchase. If this happens these drugs can become useless to you.
Essential oils on the other hand are very complex in nature and it is extremely unlikely that they can become compromised. In addition, oils are not subject to the risk associated with combining products.
Multiple oils can be used together in a blend to synergistically attack the problem.
Essential oils can also be used for quick relief in the short term, and for a more complete recovery, as a long term strategy. We will discuss both short and long term options on this page.
Before we get to the individual oils and oil blends that you can deploy for your candida cleanse we should discuss the various methods of treatment using essential oils.
The following 4 methods are the most commonly used for a candida cleanse:
Run a shallow bath and add your chosen essential oil (choose from oils described below) in a 1/2 cup of Epsom salts so that the treated water will come in contact with the area of infection.
Put three drops of each of the following oils in a gelatin capsule and consume orally 3 times a day.
Apply 1-3 drops of each of the following oils to the bottoms of your feet twice daily.
For direct application to your vagina it is recommended that you heavily dilute the oil with a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil. If you don't have any allergic reaction, you can gradually increase the concentration to determine your level of sensitivity.
Create a douche using a small amount of the essential oil of your choice.
Add between 5 and 10 drops of oil to a liter of water and some Apple Cider Vinegar. (another proven yeast killer)
Shake the water and vinegar mix and then ad the essential oils.
Use the mixture as you would a normal douche, in the morning and again before going to bed. (Click image to purchase)
